A Message from the Wardens – 14th January 2022

Our service this week is Morning Praise and we will be welcoming Ben Tanner as our preacher.

Soulroots is pleased to welcome new team member, Kelly, to join Mell in working with the young people in S17.

Diversion and Inclusion

A reminder about the Diversion and Inclusion Conversation mentioned last week –
Liz Hardie and Ali Creasey will be hosting a conversation on Diversity and Inclusion on Thursday 27th January, 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Church Lounge, If you are planning on attending, please confirm with Ali via email at totleyassociate@gmail.com.

A diocesan webinar I (Ann) took part in last night about Unconscious Bias was interesting and challenging. Hopefully our conversation on 27th will help us find practical ways to address some of the questions that cropped up.

Living in Love and Faith

In the next few months we will be hearing more about the Living in Love and Faith Report. This is the report commissioned by the C of E to enable churches across the country to participate in a process of learning and praying together as part of discerning a way forward in matters of identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage. Our diocese has produced some interesting resources to help us engage with this:

We would encourage you to have a look at the website and start to dip in to some of the material.

Finally, we would like to send congratulations to Colleen who finally obtained British Citizenship at a ceremony at the Town Hall last Tuesday!

Every blessing, Ann & James
