Not much to report this week, mostly reminders.
On Friday 12th and Saturday 13th November from 9.30am we will be continuing to work on tidying and maintaining the church grounds. Please come and help if you can.
On Sunday the service will start at 10am in church as usual and then continue at the War Memorial where we will be joined by representatives of the uniformed organisations to observe the 2 minutes silence at 11am. For those who are unable to walk to the War Memorial, Claire will lead the short Service of Remembrance in church.
Everyone is welcome to come back to the hall for hot drinks afterwards.
There will also be an opportunity to buy Christmas cards. Some have been designed by residents at Twelve Trees Care Home and are being sold in aid of S4Cs (Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care). Packs of 10 cost £4.50.
There are also some cards, made by the card making group, which came to light during the great tidying up of the office space recently. These will be available for a donation to David Kereto’s project in Kenya.
We are sorry to let you know that the Transport 17 Christmas Coffee Morning advertised in last week’s letter has had to be cancelled.
Please find attached the Foodbank Christmas wishlist.
Every Blessing, Ann & James
