A Message from the Wardens – 28th October 2021

Dear Friends,

First of all, an apology. The date given for Commitment Sunday was incorrect. Commitment Sunday is this next Sunday 31st October so please remember to bring your pledge forms with you. During the service we will also be having a power point presentation of the roadmap for the next few months as we move towards the church graft with a group from Christ Church Endcliffe under Ben Tanner’s leadership.

A reminder that we plan to have a working party in the church grounds tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday 30th from 9.30 -12.00. All ages welcome!
The wildflower area has been planted and we understand that seedlings have already started to grow.

A message from Liz Hardie – Thank you very much to everyone who donated books and jigsaws for the Dronfield Christian Aid book sale last weekend. Thank you also to Isabel and Megan, two of our young people who volunteered at the event to help run the raffle. Over £850 was raised for Christian Aid.

The PCC has also received two thank you notes. One was from Soulroots for allowing them to use the office in the church hall and for all the work done to prepare the space. The other was from the Chair of the Totley Show thanking All Saints for the donation given instead of providing the bouncy castle which we would have done under normal circumstances.

At the recent PCC meeting it was proposed that after half term the children should come into church at the start of the service and stay for the first hymn as was done previously pre covid. They will then be taken down to the hall by the children’s leaders.

There will be a Remembrance Service in church on 14th November and afterwards at the War Memorial where we hope the wider community will join us to observe the two minutes silence.

Every blessing,
Ann & James
PS Don’t forget to change your clocks back this weekend!
