A Message from the Wardens – 4th September 2021

Dear Friends,

We want to start by thanking all the people who have worked so hard this week in the church hall. It has been very encouraging to experience the teamwork and support from so many people. Storage cupboards have been emptied, cleaned and re-organised in the upstairs office space so that it can be used by Soulroots. The cupboard used for childrens’ work has been cleaned and tidied. The cupboard halfway up the staircase has been emptied, cleaned and tidied – a massive job and special thanks to the Hardie family members who managed to climb in there, braving the cobwebs.

Downstairs, the kitchen cupboards have all been cleaned and the contents washed. We are now on the last lap. Some unwanted items have been taken to a charity shop and we have a skip which we will use on Saturday. Again, many thanks to everyone who helped in any way.

Just a reminder that if you use any of your own electrical equipment in church or the hall Neil needs to know so that it can be PAT tested.

Sunday’s service will be an All Age service and we are continuing our series looking at the letter of James. Please pray for the Worship Leaders and Preachers as they have a planning meeting on Monday evening.

It’s time to make a new rota for people to welcome and record people as they arrive on Sunday mornings. If this is something you could do, please have a word with one of us.

Every blessing, Ann & James
