We’re pleased to let you know that the service on Sunday will be Holy Communion. Ali has completed a full risk assessment and the arrangements will be as when we were last able to receive communion in the autumn.
When the PCC was planning the return to worship in church on Pentecost Sunday we wanted to mark the return with a Gift Day. We recognise that for many the pandemic has been a stressful and financially difficult time. For others it has been an opportunity to spend less and save money. On Sunday 27th June you are invited to give a gift as you feel able and the practical details of how to do it will be available next week. The money given will be shared between the Common Fund which supports the work of the whole Diocese and the work of David Kereto in Kenya.
Looking ahead, in October we will be looking at our planned giving and having an opportunity to pledge our commitment financially and in other ways as we mark our Patronal Festival at All Saints tide.
The decorators finished working in the church hall today (Friday) and it is looking good. Next week the carpets will be cleaned and the hall floor polished.
We hope it will not be long before we can meet in it again. Meanwhile Coffee and Chat continues as usual on zoom. Details available from the Wardens.
Please pray for wisdom and energy for the PCC as we meet on Monday evening.
With love from Ann & James
