A Message from the Wardens – 19th February 2021

Dear Friends,

There doesn’t seem to be as much news or information as usual to pass on this week.

It was really good to be able to join in a “live” Ash Wednesday service via Zoom. It was the first service we have attempted this way so thank you to Ali for rising to the challenge.

Thanks also to Neil for all his work looking after our buildings. There have been problems with the church boiler recently so he has been making daily visits to check on it. Fortunately the engineer lives locally so there have been some 8am visits at the start of his working day to sort things out. All seems to be well again.

Work has also started on gradually preparing the hall for the time when we are able to use it again. The spiders have been busy so there were plenty of cobwebs to sweep away to start with!

Each year we send some of our harvest gifts to the Cathedral Archer Project and Dorothy has passed on a link which connects to Chris’s story, a very inspiring story of someone whose life was transformed by the help and support he received at the project.

The Tuesday and Wednesday evening Lent groups start next week and the Wednesday afternoon group continues as last week. Zoom details and Roots material has been circulated to the small groups.

Sunday Coffee and Chat from 11o’clock as usual, details can be requested from the Wardens.

With love from

Ann & James
